As the preceding reviews highlighted this is a excellent bit of kit, you can leave this pod on your desk or bedside table drop your Blackberry (mine is the 9780) into the pod and hey presto a charging smart phone, ready for action all the time, the clock display and in a position to screen calls readily is a bonus to the excellent seeking accessory, why blackberry do not include things like this with the original package I am not certain.
The retailer delivered promptly and reasonably packaged, was not sure if the description and the claim of becoming compatible with my 9780 had been correct but am glad I went ahead with the buy, have to have original Blackberry accessory for the style aware out there!
I am more than the moon with this item, I only use it with the mains charger as a bedside alarm clock so it is constantly plugged in. I had to modify a few settings but when placed in the pod it shows a dim clock face all night and the coverage LED stops illuminating the area all night thankfully when it automatically goes in to bedside mode. I also like the dim white/blue 'ON' light built in so you do not have to fumble around searching for it when the lights are off! I advocate this to all 9700 owners.
